Two iconic brands, Bang & Olufsen and Karimoku, have joined forces to create a limited-time showroom in Tokyo. It showcases bespoke and new products that epitomize their shared commitment to acoustics, design, and craftsmanship. This unique exhibition celebrates nearly a century of innovation, offering visitors a chance to witness the creative process behind these remarkable audio-visual products.
This event is in celebration of the ‘Atelier Editions’ line from Bang & Olufsen. These products are meticulously crafted by the Bang & Olufsen atelier team, ensuring each item is unique or produced in limited quantities.
The exhibition provides an opportunity for visitors to witness the evolution of Bang & Olufsen products, from their earliest creations to the latest offering. Visitors can witness the process of customizing Bang & Olufsen products displayed alongside their mainline offerings.
Additionally, the showroom features products in a ‘Lilac Twilight’ color, a recent addition to Bang & Olufsen’s palette, introduced in August. This color choice further emphasizes their dedication to staying ahead of the curve in both aesthetics and technology.
The furniture on display throughout the venue is crafted by Karimoku, with some pieces representing custom-made prototypes designed to elevate the Bang & Olufsen experience.
Architect Keiji Ashizawa handled the Bang & Olufsen x Karimoku showroom exhibit’s spatial design, while Fumiko Sakuhara created the interior styling.
The Bang & Olufsen x Karimoku showroom exhibit runs until October 14th and is located at the Bang & Olufsen location in Shibuya, Tokyo. For more information and to plan your visit, please check out the Bang & Olufsen website.
