Bremont Supermarine S302 GMT | Redesigned On The Inside and Out, Puts Focus Returns To Travel
Bremont’s newest catalog entry comes with the latest launch of the revamped Bremont Supermarine S302 GMT series, marking a significant evolution for the professional device timepiece. Created in collaboration with celebrated marine biologist and free-diver Ocean Ramsey, the trio of new variants are expected to usher in a wave of excitement for Bremont aficionados.
Originally recognized for its robust build and GMT functionality, the Bremont Supermarine S302 GMT gets a new 40 mm GMT-focused form factor while retaining its dive-watch roots. The new collection features external rotating 24-hour bezels, allowing seamless transitions between time zones, foregoing the elapsed-time tracking functionality.
The new watches come with Bremont’s signature Trip-Tick stainless-steel case design. The new models maintain the same robust build, date window at 3 o’clock, polished nickel-plated hour, minute, and second hands filled with white Super-LumiNova, polished nickel-plated GMT hand with a vibrant orange tip, domed anti-reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, solid screw-down stainless steel case backs engraved with a plane emblem, and 300 meters of water resistance. While the overall structure closely mirrors the original, each variant has distinctive elements catering to varying tastes.
The first standard-production model comes with a bi-color blue and green aluminum uni-directional 24-hour bezel and anodized aluminum bezel insert, a blue metal dial with indexes printed in white Super-LumiNova, a blue dial ring with printed minutes track, and comes with a blue integrated rubber strap with pin buckle clasp. The model is also available in an optional stainless-steel bracelet or a brown vintage-style leather strap.
On the other hand, the Supermarine S302 GMT Jet comes in a black DLC-coated case and bezel with vintage-inspired beige Super-LumiNova accents. It features a black dial single-color black ceramic bezel insert and comes in either a black integrated rubber or leather strap.
A standout in the collection, the limited-edition Bremont Supermarine Ocean, a result of the collaboration with Ocean Ramsey, reflects a fusion of elegance and functionality with a brushed and polished stainless steel case construction paired with a black DLC-coated middle case barrel, gray dial, and bezel accents. Production of this limited edition model is limited to only 400 examples and is available with either a stainless steel bracelet, a brown leather strap, or a gray rubber strap.
Powering the Bremont Supermarine S302 GMT series is the Caliber BE-93-2AV automatic GMT movement. The modified version of the renowned ETA 2893 boasts a Bremont decorated rotor, 21 jewels, a Glucydur balance and Anachron balance spring, a Nivaflex 1 mainspring, and a power reserve of approximately 50 hours.
The Bremont Supermarine S302 GMT production blue and green model retails for $3,750 on a strap or $4,200 for the stainless-steel bracelet, and the Supermarine S302 GMT Jet retails for $4,250 USD. At the same time, the limited-edition Bremont Supermarine Ocean comes in at $4,000 for the strap variant and $4,450 for the bracelet version.
