The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Titanium Monotourbillon, a testament to our brand’s audacity and innovation, is a timepiece that embodies the spirit of adventure. Crafted in-house, it stands as a symbol of our unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of haute horology, offering a unique blend of intricate mechanics and avant-garde design.
Since its establishment in 1995, Roger Dubuis has been a pioneer in the world of watchmaking, consistently producing exclusive timepieces that marry intricate mechanics with avant-garde designs. The Excalibur collection, introduced in 2005, has been at the forefront of this endeavor, showcasing a range of innovative complications and design upgrades. At Watches & Wonders Geneva 2024, Roger Dubuis unveiled the latest addition to the Excalibur family: the Titanium Monotourbillon.
The Excalibur Titanium Monotourbillon boasts a minimalist yet charismatic design, exemplifying Roger Dubuis’ skeletonized approach to watchmaking. Crafted from Grade 5 Titanium, this timepiece offers unmatched durability without compromising on elegance. The sleek titanium case, measuring 42mm, features strong angles and a blend of polished and brushed finishing, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, a Titanium bezel, a Titanium crown, a Titanium open case back with sapphire crystal, and a 100-meter water resistance. It comes with a Titanium grade 5 bracelet with satin-brushed and polished bevels, and an integrated titanium buckle, and interchangeable with Quick Release System.
The dial of the Excalibur Titanium Monotourbillon is a masterpiece of engineering, allowing the movement to take center stage. Sharp, skeletonized hands and a peripherally mounted chapter ring with polished hour markers ensure readability, while the flying tourbillon at 8 o’clock adds a touch of sophistication. The tourbillon cage, constructed from 63 components, showcases Roger Dubuis’ meticulous craftsmanship, while the lower cage made of titanium reinforces the aesthetic and enhances the lightness of the piece.
The Excalibur Titanium Monotourbillon lies the in-house RD512SQ movement, a hand-wound tourbillon with a 72-hour power reserve. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, this movement features 194 components, 19 jewels, an upper cage inspired by the Celtic Cross, Shot-blasted and trued-up main plate and bridges with NAC or Blue CVD coating, and a 72-hour power reserve.
