Mate Rimac, the founder of Rimac Automobili, has finally delivered his personally customized Rimac Nevera. This electric hypercar is a reflection of Rimac’s 15-year journey in the automotive industry. It combines cutting-edge technology with a deeply personal touch.
Rimac Automobili started in 2009 with a clear vision: to push the limits of electric vehicles. The Rimac Nevera, named after sudden Mediterranean storms, embodies this spirit. After years of development and deliveries to notable customers like F1 World Champion Nico Rosberg, Rimac decided it was time to create his own version of the Nevera. His hands-on approach in every aspect of its creation highlights the company’s dedication to the craft of bespoke cars.
The exterior of Rimac’s bespoke Nevera features a full carbon fiber body tinted in red, accented with bare carbon fiber. This design ensures that the fibers align perfectly, a process requiring great precision. Unique touches include hand-painted Croatian flags on the side mirrors and a custom lightning motif under the rear spoiler, inspired by the storms that gave the car its name.
Inside, the Rimac Nevera continues the theme. The cabin showcases an asymmetric trim with black on one side and red on the other, a design Rimac pioneered himself. The use of Napa leather and Alcantara, combined with personal motifs like the embroidered Solinjanka—a tribute to a sculpture in Zagreb’s Archaeological Museum—creates a meaningful and luxurious interior. Every detail, from the hand-stitched armrests to the laser-etched metal plates, reflects Rimac’s vision and heritage.
It isn’t all for show. The vehicle is equipped with four bespoke permanent-magnet, oil-cooled electric motors, one for each wheel. This setup delivers 1,914 horsepower and 1,740 lb-ft of torque, allowing the Nevera to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.75 seconds. With a top speed of 258 mph, the Nevera is a performance beast, setting numerous records, including the electric production car record at the Nürburgring.
The Rimac Nevera is an ultra-exclusive electric hypercar, with each model tailored to the customer’s specifications. This level of customization and performance comes at a high price, reflecting the bespoke nature of each vehicle. While specific pricing details for Mate Rimac’s personal Nevera haven’t been disclosed, the standard model starts at around $2.4 million.
