Rudi Klein’s Legendary Car Collection Goes Public At RM Sotheby’s Upcoming Auction

For decades, the Rudi Klein Collection was a myth, a secretive collection yet well-known among car enthusiasts. It was accumulated by Rudi Klein, a German car enthusiast, who kept it private and hidden away. Now, for the first time in over fifty years, the collection, which has been preserved since his passing in 2001, is finally being made available to the public at RM Sotheby’s upcoming auction, ‘The Junkyard: The Rudi Klein Collection’.

Featuring some of the world’s rarest automobiles, the collection is certainly a treasure trove for car collectors and enthusiasts. Standout models include the rare 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL ‘Alloy’ Gullwing, the 1935 Mercedes-Benz 500 K ‘Caracciola’ Special Coupe, and the exclusive 1967 Iso Grifo A3/L Spider Prototype by Bertone.

Interested buyers can acquire these historic vehicles in this lifetime auction scheduled for October 2024. The full online catalog will be announced in September 2024. For more details, visit the RM Sotheby’s website.
