The Czinger 21C Now Holds Production Car Lap Record At COTA

The Czinger 21C recently set the first and fastest official production car lap record at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) on July 24th. Driven by Joel Miller, the 21C completed the 3.41-mile circuit with an impressive official IMSA lap time of 2:10.7. This record confirms Czinger Vehicles as a dominant player in the hypercar industry.

The Czinger 21C, in its striking Rattlesnake Green, met all production car criteria to achieve the record, which COTA and IMSA verified. This includes using a full production car interior with no parts removed, standard road tires, and full production car safety equipment. The 21C demonstrated superior engineering and design by navigating COTA’s numerous turns, elevation changes, technical corners, and high-speed straights.

The hypercar gets its speed from its advanced design and production method. It features a revolutionary Bio-Logic™alloy 3D-printed and carbon fiber chassis and a one-of-a-kind hybrid powertrain paired with a 950 bhp V8 twin-turbo engine with three electric motors. This delivers 1,350 horsepower and pushes the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.9 seconds,

The 21C also recently dominated the Goodwood Festival of Speed track, where Chris Ward completed the Goodwood Hillclimb in 48.82 seconds, a new record. These two accomplishments showcase the 21C’s exceptional performance, engineering, and versatility.

Customer car #01, a 21C Blackbird Edition, was delivered at The Quail during Monterey Car Week, marking a new era in automotive history. The 21C highlights Czinger Vehicles’ dedication to pushing the boundaries of automotive innovation. In the words of Booby Epstein, Chairman and Co-Founder of Circuit of The Americas, ‘They’ve created a car that not only looks sensational but has the technology to match!’ ‘They’ve set the bar high.’ For more details on the 21C, visit the Czinger website.
