Apple Reveals The iPhone 16 Pro And iPhone 16 Pro Max Set To Launch On September 20th
Apple revealed the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro Max, featuring various new features and capabilities. Powered by the groundbreaking A18 Pro chip, the new Pro lineup is equipped with Apple Intelligence, larger displays, pro camera features, stunning graphics, and the best battery life available in an iPhone.
The lineup features a durable titanium design and comes in four finishes: black titanium, desert titanium, natural titanium, and white titanium. It introduces a 6.3-inch display size on the iPhone 16 Pro and the largest display on an iPhone ever, 6.9 inches on the 16 Pro Max. They feature Super Retina XDR displays with Always-On and ProMotion technologies and the latest-generation Ceramic Shield. The Pro lineup also includes the thinnest borders of any Apple product.
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro Max are equipped with a 48MP Fusion camera, featuring a quad-pixel sensor that enables 4K120 fps video recording in Dolby Vision, offering the highest resolution frame-rate combination than any other iPhone. A new 48MP Ultra Wide camera is also equipped for higher-resolution photography. An advanced Camera Control feature is added that increases the versatility of the camera system by introducing a new way of launching the camera and capturing photos or videos. Four new studio-quality mics are equipped in both Pro models, which preserve true-to-life recorded sounds.
Powered by the new A18 Pro chip, built with second-generation 3-nanometer technology, these models deliver exceptional performance and efficiency. The new 16-core Neural Engine and 6-core CPU are faster and more efficient than previous versions, enhancing graphics and performance for gaming and professional applications. The latest models also include a 17 percent increase in total system memory bandwidth, the highest in an iPhone ever.
Apple Intelligence brings an easy-to-use personal intelligence system to the iPhone, which utilizes Apple’s generative models. The system delivers contextual, relevant insights while safeguarding user privacy with Private Cloud Compute. This system enhances everyday tasks, including text editing, audio recording and summarization, and notification management. The iPhone 16 Pro lineup continues to support Emergency SOS via satellite and introduces Emergency SOS Live Video, allowing users to share live video with emergency dispatchers.
The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be available for pre-order on September 13th and will be available on the Apple store online beginning on September 20th. Both Pro versions are available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage capacities. The iPhone 16 Pro starts at $999, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at $1,199.
