The Apple Watch Series is known for its breakthrough innovations in smartwatches that combine style, functionality, and health features to enhance your daily life. Their latest addition to their watch series, the Apple Watch Series 10, brings more capabilities and a sleeker design, taking the smartwatch experience to the next level.
The Apple Watch Series 10 is the thinnest Apple watch yet, nearly 10 percent thinner than the previous releases. Despite the slimmer design, the watch doesn’t sacrifice performance, intelligence, or power efficiency. It boasts an 18-hour battery life and the fastest charging in an Apple Watch, with 80 percent of the battery charged in just 30 minutes.
The Series 10 is available in aluminum and titanium, making it 10-20 percent lighter than the Series 9. The aluminum finishes are available in new polished jet black, updated rose gold, and brushed silver. The titanium finishes are aerospace-grade polished titanium in natural, gold, and slate colors. The Milanese Loop and Link Bracelet bands have also been updated to match the titanium cases.
The watch features the biggest and most advanced display than any other Apple Watch, offering 9 percent more active screen area than the Apple Watch Series 7, Series 8, and Series 9. It is also the first Apple product to feature a wide-angle OLED display that enhances visibility by up to 40 percent brighter than the series 9. This larger, clearer, and wide-angled display improves usability and readability and makes it easier for typing.
The built-in 4-core Neural Engine enables intelligent features that users use daily, including the double tap gesture, dictation, on-device Siri, and automatic workout detection. Safety features such as Crash and Fall Detection and other features, including the updated Smart Stack, the redesigned Photos face, and the Translate app, are also included.
Regarding health features, the Apple Watch has now introduced a sleep apnea feature. The watch can detect sleep apnea using the accelerometer to monitor small wrist movements and analyze respiratory patterns. Users can view the patterns on their Health app and view Breathing Disturbances, a new Apple Watch metric. Users can also receive notifications if the data indicates consistent signs of sleep apnea.
For those who enjoy water activities, the Apple Watch Series 10 has a swim-proof design with a 50-meter water resistance rating, automatic stroke detection, and lap counting. A new depth gauge and water temperature sensor have also been added, which can measure down to 6 meters beneath the water’s surface and measure water temperature. The watch also introduces the new Tides app and Oceanic+ app for tidal and snorkeling information.
The Apple Watch Series 10 is even more sophisticated, powerful, and intelligent than previous versions. Pricing for the Watch Series 10 starts at $399 and is available for pre-order at the Apple Store online and in the Apple Store app, with availability beginning September 20th.
