The 911 Carrera T is back for the 2025 model year, now offered as a coupe and a Cabriolet for the first time. This enthusiast-focused model is equipped with the standard 911 Carrera’s powerful engine and a sporty chassis, with an emphasis on lightweight materials.
The 2025 Carrera T is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer engine, delivering 388 hp and 331 lb.-ft. of torque. The Coupe can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, while the Cabriolet takes 4.5 seconds. The top speeds are 183 mph for the Coupe and 182 mph for the Cabriolet.
A standard six-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels. The shift lever is topped with a walnut ball handle, distinguishing this model from previous versions. An auto-blip feature supports smooth downshifts, which rev-matches the engine to transmission speed. This feature is part of the Sport Chrono package, which comes standard with the Carrera, which includes a dial integrated in the leather-wrapped GT Sport steering wheel for quick access to Normal, Sport, Sport Plus, and Wet drive modes. The package includes the Track Precision app, a tire temperature display, and a Sport Exhaust system.
The Carrera T’s sporty enhancements make it an excellent companion for winding roads. The standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is lowered by 10 millimeters compared to the 911 Carrera and is especially tuned to enhance the Carrera T’s sporty nature. The braking system has also been improved with 350 mm front and rear brake discs, which are 20 mm larger than the prior generation. The four-piston fixed calipers used in the predecessor are also replaced with six-piston fixed calipers on the front axle in the new model.
With rear-axle steering as standard, the steering ratio also quickens compared to the 911 Carrera. Revised front and rear anti-roll bars improve agility and stability, while Porsche Torque Vectoring directs power to the outer rear wheel while cornering. Carrera S alloy wheels with 20-inch front and 21-inch rear diameter are standard.
Visual elements that set the Carrera T apart from other versions include Vanadium Grey Metallic accents on the wheels, side view mirror covers, model decals on the doors, and a rear badge, alongside a Sport Exhaust with tailpipes in black stainless steel. Moreover, the wheels of the new model have a two-tone effect, unlike previous generations, which were completely painted in the accent color.
The Carrera T is available in 12 paint colors, ranging from solid black and white to Cartagena Yellow Metallic, Shade Green Metallic, and Chalk. An optional exterior package can add Gentian Blue accents to various parts of the car and black mirror shells instead of the standard Vanadium Grey.
Inside, the Carrera T features Vanadium Grey on the dashboard and center console with black anodized aluminum on the door panel trims. The passenger’s side of the dashboard includes a shift pattern logo, and a special ‘MT’ badge is in front of the shift lever. Standard interior equipment includes black, four-way power-adjustable heated Sport Seats Plus and a heated, leather-wrapped GT Sport steering wheel. The centers of the seats are finished in Sport-Tex with a Black plaid pattern. Customers can also opt for a leather interior, 18-way Sport Seats Plus, and fixed-back CFRP Full Bucket seats. Additionally, an interior package is available for further customization. Although the coupe is available as a two-seater, customers can add rear seats for no additional cost.
The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T and 911 Carrera T Cabriolet are now available for order, and delivery to U.S. Porsche Centers is anticipated to begin next summer.
