Girard-Perregaux Releases The Casquette 2.0 Titanium And Gold For GP Lovers
Girard-Perregaux has released a new version of the Casquette 2.0, a timepiece that has been a collector’s favorite since the 1970s. The latest interpretation is crafted of Grade 5 titanium with an 18K 2N yellow gold GP logo and matching pushers. The bracelet is also made of titanium and includes a rubber lining for added comfort. The micro adjustment feature on the titanium buckle allows it to perfectly fit any wrist.
Girard-Perregaux specifically designed this watch for GP lovers after the previous iteration of the Casquette 2.0, released in 2022, received widespread affection. The new model is inspired by the iconic 1976 Casquette, with its gold logo and pushers paying homage to the gold-plated and steel forbears of the 1970s.
The timepiece is equipped with the Calibre GP03980, which powers its vintage LED display, which indicates the hours, minutes, seconds, day, date, month, year, chronograph, second time zone, and secret date. This movement can also be retrofitted into the 1976 Casquette models, reinforcing Girard-Perregaux’s focus on enduring quality and serviceability.
GP’s community has been integral to their journey, inspiring iconic collections and creating a vibrant culture around the Manufacture’s designs. To honor this support, Girard-Perregaux will allow ‘GP lovers’ to preorder this latest Casquette 2.0 from October 31st to November 14th. This offer is available to anyone who owns a Girard-Perregaux watch, with priority given through the brand’s website.
Following this preview, the new Girard-Perregaux watch will be available to the public through the brand’s website and in select stores. Only 820 pieces of this timepiece will be released, each priced at $4960. For more details, visit the brand’s website.
