Panerai Unveils The Luminor Quaranta Carbotech PAM01526 At SIAR 2024

Panerai proudly introduced a new version of the Luminor Quaranta at the Salon Internacional Alta Relojería in Mexico. Named officially the Panerai Luminor Quaranta Carbotech PAM01526, the timepiece features a compact case and a bold design.

The latest version highlights its new lightweight Carbotech case, which is made from carbon fibers. The matte black case measures 40 mm and retains signature crown protection and straight lugs. The finish of the case slightly varies from piece to piece, giving each watch a unique look. The screwed-down sapphire crystal case back offers a clear view of the mechanical movement inside. The case also has a new water resistance of 30 bar.

The timepiece features a matte green dial designed using Panerai’s signature sandwich style that enhances depth and clarity. Readability is further enhanced with white Super-LumiNova X1, featured on the dial markers and hands. The dial also includes a small second sub-dial in the 9 o’clock position.

The automatic P.900 caliber powers the watch. Known for its slim profile, the movement measures 28 mm in diameter and is 4.2 mm thick. Despite its size, it boasts a balance wheel oscillating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, a three-day power reserve, a bidirectional rotor, and a seconds stop mechanism.

The timepiece comes with two strap options, both easily interchangeable with the PAM Click Release System. One strap is military-green rubber for durability and comfort, while the other is brown calf leather, reflecting Panerai’s historical designs. Both feature a brushed titanium buckle with a DLC coating for added strength.

The Luminor Quaranta Carbotech is exclusively available through Panerai boutiques. Each watch is priced at €13,500 or $13,300. For more details, visit the brand’s website.
