Lexus Expands Partnership With World Surf League And Unveils Surf LX Concept

Lexus became the Automotive Partner of the World Surf League (WSL) in North America in 2024, and now the two brands have expanded their partnership into a multi-year deal. Under the new agreement, Lexus will continue to be the Official Automotive Partner of the WSL as well as the title partner for five marquee league events in 2025: the Pipe Pro, Trestle Pro, WSL Awards, US Open of Surfing, and WSL Finals.

The expanded partnership allows the two brands to create unforgettable moments for surfing fans and push the boundaries of progression and performance at the highest level of surfing.

To celebrate the partnership, Lexus unveiled the Lexus Surf LX, an all-new concept luxury utility vehicle, at the Lexus Pipe Pro in Oahu, Hawaii. This exclusive concept SUV is built for surfers. It blends performance, innovation, and style with real-world functionality, making it the perfect vehicle for the surfing lifestyle.

Shaped by insights from the surf community, the Surf LX embraces a Coastal look with its white roof, matte blue exterior, and black lines, resembling the ocean and shores. Custom 20-inch gray wheels and 33-inch all-terrain tires enable it to handle sandy beaches, saltwater, and the unpredictable nature of coastal adventures. The inside boasts genuine leather upholstery for durable elegance.

Lexus has also optimized the vehicle’s storage for surfers, equipping the trunk with slide-out cargo storage, a built-in Dometic cooler, a surfboard rack, a waxing table, and a turf-changing mat. Ventilated compartments are included for keeping towels, wetsuits, wax, and sunscreen. The SUV is also equipped with a custom exo-cage and an LED-illuminated rear ladder for easy access to the roof rack.

Griffin Colapinto, pro surfer, and Lexus ambassador, said, ‘This vehicle isn’t just an SUV; it’s made for adventure, with the power and versatility any surfer could ever want or need.’ For more details, visit the brand’s website.
