Zenith Elevates The Defy Skyline Chronograph With Skeletonized Model

Zenith has expanded its chronograph offerings with a skeletonized version of the Defy Skyline Chronograph. Released as part of its novelties for LVMH Watch Week 2025, the Defy Skyline Chronograph Skeleton is crafted from stainless steel and features an open-worked dial.

This latest release builds on the foundation of the original Defy Skyline Chronograph, released just last year. It features a 42mm steel case with satin-brushed and polished finishes, a 12-facet bezel, two pushers flanking the winding crown, and an integrated steel bracelet. Water resistance remains at 100 meters.

The intricate open-worked dial is designed to resemble Zenith’s iconic ‘double Z’ logo from the 1960s. Three gray azuré subdials are at the center, including a 60-second counter at 3 o’clock, a 60-minute counter at 6 o’clock, and small seconds at 9 o’clock.

The timepiece is available in blue and black versions, and the hollowed-out movement mainplate is offered in the respective colors. Both variants include vibrant red, magenta, and violet accents on the jewels, hand tips, and escapement components that stand out against the blue and black backgrounds. The caseback reveals the star-shaped oscillating weight that is color-matched to the dial.

The open-worked dial also provides partial visibility of the El Primero 3600SK movement, which operates at 36,00 bph and provides 60 hours of power. Unlike the original Defy Skyline Chronograph models, this movement doesn’t include a date window, which maintains the dial’s visual balance.

Staying true to the Defy Skyline collection, the timepiece includes the H-link integrated bracelet. Its mix of brushed and polished surfaces complements the case design and tapers towards the folding clasp. Each watch has a color-matched strap featuring a star pattern, easily interchangeable via a push-button system.

The Zenith Defy Skyline Chronograph Skeleton in blue and black is priced at $15,500. For further details, visit the brand’s website.
