Girard-Perregaux and Aston Martin have partnered to release a new timepiece, the Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition. The details are immense, bringing forth an iridescent green dial, housed in a 42 mm titanium case. We were in attendance last night at the Bucherer TimeMachine boutique in Midtown Manhattan, where Girard-Perregaux, Aston Martin and the Bucherer team hosted a small gathering to see the piece firsthand.

Marc Michel-Amadry, the new global managing director of Girard-Perregaux, greet guests and set the stage for a wonderful evening. In speaking with Marc, we sense the brand’s desire to bring more of GP’s story to watch enthusiasts and so I’m sure there’s a lot more in store for 2025.

The dial’s stunning hue results from a complex process featuring iridescent automotive paint applied using 15 ultrathin layers followed by two heating cycles. This green, inspired by the marque’s signature green cars, subtly shifts from green to orange depending on the angle.
The dial’s skeletonized hands are inspired by the front grille found in motorcars, while the indexes and counters receive a grey-toned PVD treatment, matching the color of the titanium case. The hands and indexes have luminous accents to improve visibility in low light.
Three snailed counters enhance the dial’s functionality, including a small seconds display, a 30-minute chronograph register, and a 12-hour chronograph register. The dial also includes a date display discreetly positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock. The GP logo is rendered in white at the top of the dial, while the brand’s emblem is adjacent.
The use of Grade 5 titanium makes the watch incredibly lightweight as well as strong and corrosion-resistant. The brushed and polished surfaces on the case and bracelet deliver a captivating contrast and maintain the Laureato aesthetic.

The timepiece is available worldwide for $22,700. For further details, visit the brand’s website.
