BEAMS PLUS and Japanese clothing label dip have teamed for a fifth collaboration, featuring a seven-piece capsule collection focusing on garment-dyed nylon fabrics. This collaboration showcases dip’s distinctive dyeing technique across everyday staples, including a suit jacket, a military coat, an oversized t-shirt, cargo pants, and more.
Titled ‘The Dark Collection,’ the pieces come in a dark palette of deep black, washed gray, and khaki tan. The neutral colors allow the garment-dyed nylon to take center stage. The lineup also includes antique brass hardware, snap buttons, and zippers, which enhance the collection’s worn-in aesthetic.
BEAMS PLUS emphasizes the importance of ‘individual personalities’ and ‘recognizing the value of masterpieces from the past while modernizing materials and patterns’ as the core principles of this collaboration. Drawing inspiration from vintage military wear, the collection features tactical pants, a utility vest, a beret, and a zip-up liner jacket. Another jacket in crinkled nylon is also included, which is based on BEAMS’ classic suit silhouette.
The collection is set to be released on March 15th via the brand’s website and retail stores.
