Purple Mountain Observatory Redefines Outerwear For SS25

Purple Mountain Observatory continues to redefine technical wear, pushing innovation and style in its third year since rebranding from Carrier Goods. For SS25, the London-based label explores the intersection between urban environments and nature.

The brand embraces bolder color palettes this season while maintaining its technical edge. In the lookbook, models display the collection’s cobalt blue, bright green, and lilac hues against the mountain landscapes, which stand out vividly against the muted earth tones.

The lineup builds on Purple Mountain Observatory’s Obsidian range, incorporating Halley Stevensons wax fabrics, heat-adaptive materials, and the signature Barnacle Mesh for lightweight movement. Standout pieces include a weather-resistant poncho and the deep blue Waves Quilted Vest, which features wave-like stitching, a crinkle nylon outer shell, and a DWR coating. Another highlight is the Advanced Balaclava Soft Shell, designed with external 3M reflective heat-sealed taping and invisible heat-sealed pockets for optimal warmth without the bulk.

The Purple Mountain Observatory SS25 collection is available now via the brand’s website. Prices range from £165 to £330 GBP (approximately $213 – $427 USD).
