Hender Scheme and Timberland partner up to elevate the American footwear brand’s classic 3-Eye Lug Boat Shoe for the first time. The collaboration reimagines the iconic silhouette using premium leather and fresh design elements.
The artisan Japanese leather goods label utilizes untreated premium full-grain leather from a local Japanese tannery for the shoe, allowing each piece to develop a rich patina over time. Starting as a light beige, which deepens to a deeper brown with wear, each pair promises a unique character.
Timberland’s original shoe silhouette is used and enhanced with luxurious leather. Kiltie tassels at the toe box give it a vintage touch, while contemporary elements such as embossed leather eyelets highlight Hender Scheme’s renowned leatherwork expertise. Co-branded details include Timberland’s signature emblem on the lateral panel, while Hender Scheme’s wordmark is embossed on a small leather tab and a removable diamond-shaped tag.
The Timberland x Hender Scheme 3-Eye Lug Boat Shoe will be released via an online raffle on March 12th, followed by an in-store launch in Japan on March 21st. It is priced at $350.
