Gerald Charles celebrates its 25th milestone by unveiling the Maestro GC39 25th Anniversary Edition timepiece. This release reinterprets the original Maestro GC39 from 2005 with a modern design and mechanical upgrades.
The Maestro GC39 25th Anniversary Edition features a 42mm polished Grade 5 titanium case, making it the largest Maestro to date. Despite its large size, it maintains a sleek profile at 11mm thick. It includes a screw-down crown, a royal blue vulcanized rubber strap with a Clous de Paris texture, and 100 meters of water resistance.
The dial showcases a lapis lazuli centerpiece, enhanced by a proprietary meta-guillochage engraving technique. This innovative technique is the first of its kind in watchmaking, which creates a multi-dimensional starburst effect depending on how light hits it.
The 25th-anniversary model introduces a jump hour complication that replaces the original sliding hour complication. It is displayed through an arched aperture at 12 o’clock, showing three numerals at all times. A skeletonized sword-shaped central minute hand points to applied blue cabochon indexes on a black minute track.
The brand new Manufacture 4.0 Calibre Jumping Hours movement is powering the watch, featuring 265 components and a 50-hour power reserve. The movement is decorated with rhodium-plated wheels, Geneva stripes, perlage, a golden oscillating weight with a honeycomb pattern, and a 25th-anniversary logo.
Federico Ziviani, Gerald Charles’ chief executive, said, ‘The GC39 25th Anniversary Edition is a joyful celebration of Mr. Genta’s creativity and love of fine watchmaking, and it demonstrates our continuing pursuit of aesthetic and technical mastery.’
The Gerald Charles Maestro GC39 25th Anniversary Edition is priced at $42,300. It is limited to 100 pieces, with only 40 examples in the initial release. For more details, visit the brand’s website.
