IWC Schaffhausen unveils its new automatic timepiece, the Ingenieur Automatic 40 in 18-carat 5N gold. Debuted at Watches and Wonders Geneva, the elegant model features a case and bracelet crafted entirely of 18-carat 5N gold, paired with a black ‘Grid’ dial.
The new model has been re-engineered to elevate the original 2023 watch’s character by delivering the highest standards of ergonomics and finishing. The 40mm case ensures a comfortable fit, with an integrated bracelet connected via middle links. The bezel is secured by five functional screws. The black dial features a ‘Grid’ pattern for added depth, with gold appliques and gold-plated hands filled with Super-LumiNova for low-light visibility.
The gold case and bracelet combine satin-finished and polished surfaces, emphasizing the watch’s detailed construction. The IWC-manufactured 32111 caliber is powering the timepiece, which is visible through a transparent sapphire-glass case back. The movement features circular Geneva stripes, blued screws, a gold-plated oscillating weight, and a power reserve of 120 hours.
