Patek Philippe unveils the Quadruple Complication Reference 5308 in white gold, following its world-first platinum limited series debut at the Watch Art Grand Exhibition Tokyo 2023.
This self-winding timepiece features the new R CHR 27 PS QI caliber with a minute-repeater, a split-seconds chronograph, and an instantaneous perpetual calendar. This movement is derived from the 2011 Triple Complication Reference 5208.
The advanced caliber is made of 799 components. It features a platinum mini-rotor for greater winding efficiency, improved barrel torque, an anti-backlash wheel to prevent chronograph friction, and an isolation system that eliminates the split-seconds mechanism from consuming energy when stopped.
The instantaneous perpetual calendar triggers a precise disk change in just 30 milliseconds over the three-day-date-month apertures, while the minute-repeater, striking on two classic gongs, delivers Patek Philippe’s signature sound quality.
The Quadruple Complication Reference 5308 incorporates features reserved for only the most exceptional and rare timepieces, reaffirming the brand’s status in haute horlogerie. For more details, visit the brand’s website.
