Aston Martin has become the first manufacturer in the world to offer Apple CarPlay Ultra, delivering a more integrated in-car experience using an iPhone.
CarPlay Ultra expands on the CarPlay experience by providing real-time information across both the infotainment touch screen and the instrument cluster. Drivers can enjoy a customizable interface with personalized layouts for the speedometer and tachometer dials, as well as for the maps and media displays. Moreover, drivers can choose from multiple instrument cluster themes and customize the colors and backgrounds to match their personal preferences.
Drivers can also use CarPlay Ultra to manage functions like climate and radio through touchscreen controls, physical buttons, or Siri. In addition, drivers can integrate iPhone widgets into Aston Martin’s 10.25” infotainment screen or instrument cluster to view information at a glance without leaving the CarPlay environment.
Aston Martin’s next-generation infotainment system, first launched on the DB12 in 2023, is the marque’s first in-house development. This bespoke system is displayed using a 10.25” Pure Black touchscreen technology and enables flawless integration with Apple’s CarPlay Ultra. It supports full online connectivity and intuitive gesture controls. While the touchscreen experience is central, essential physical buttons are retained for driver convenience and tactile feedback.
