Bugatti announces its latest Design Studio in Berlin, which will serve as its new design headquarters. The 1,100 square-meter studio is housed in an industrial building originally constructed in the 1920s and is now adapted to meet the needs of a modern automotive design space.
The design studio includes preserved architectural features that add a distinctive character to the workspace, such as the original ceramic wall and floor tiles, cast iron staircases, and an open gallery that overlooks the main hall.
While maintaining its historical integrity, the interior has been updated with a cutting-edge suite of technologies. The space is transformed into an immersive virtual design studio with modern VR systems, discreetly integrated head trackers, and high-precision digital tools. These tools enable Bugatti designers to create, revise, inspect, and perfect concepts with incredible accuracy and efficiency.
The studio brings together a team of designers from 22 countries, offering a broad range of perspectives. The designers collaborate across the vehicle exterior, color, trim, and 3D modeling to develop unique concepts, taking Bugatti’s design language to an entirely new level.
Clients are invited to the studio to participate with the artisans in personalizing their vehicles. They can select colors, materials, and finishes, and even view hand-drawn sketches of their commission. The process also includes developing full-scale models, allowing clients to visualize their dream vehicle even further.
