Land Rover Classic Revives Iconic Defender V8 Soft Top

Land Rover Classic has revived the iconic Defender Soft Top with the launch of the Classic Defender V8 Works Bespoke Soft Top. This model pays homage to the legendary off-roader with a soft top that includes traditional tie downs and a custom hood frame modeled after the North American NAS 90.

The short-wheelbase ’90’ model is equipped with a 405 hp 5.0L V8 paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It delivers a powerful, open-air driving experience with off-road capability.

Each unit is hand-built using carefully selected donor Defenders originally manufactured between 2012 and 2016. The transformation includes Alcon brakes, upgraded suspension, and a canvas hood inspired by the final 2016 model.

Buyers can customize their Defender with four hood color options, more than 40 paint finishes, and 13 leather interior combinations. Further customization options include a surfboard rack, a wine cooler, and a choice of 16-inch Wolf or 18-inch Sawtooth alloy wheels.

Pricing for the Classic Defender V8 Soft Top starts at £195,000 ($259,412). It is available through Land Rover Classic in the UK and Germany. For more details, visit the brand’s website.
