S/S 2009: Double Identity Footwear

London based footwear Double Identity has popped up on Oak’s online store, having us glued to the screen and our wallets in hand. Three of their styles are currently available — the apron suede sneaker, 2-strap sneaker, and the paul boot.

The apron suede sneaker is a slip-on with a contrasting panel, leather trim and a leahter buckle at front. The 2-strap sneaker is a black creased leather high top that laces up through silver rivets. Two buckled straps fasten to the outside of foot. The paul boot is another high top with seam details creating a ribbed effect and an exposed metal zipper at the side.

S/S ’09: Rachel Comey Footwear

Available now at Oak is Rachel Comey’s S/S 2009 footwear collection. On display is the black canvas hazard boot, black flint canvas shoe, and black leather cooper. The hazard boot is fully lined in black leather with custioned leather footbed. The flint canvas shoe is a laced oxford with simple seams and stitch detailing and is fully lined in brown leather. The cooper is a leather variant of the flint. All three are fitted with a stacked wood heel.

F/W 2009: Sergio Rossi x Puma Footwear

In the Fall, Puma will be bringing another collaboration onboard for their high-end footwear. Sergio Rossi will be joining the likes of Alexander McQueen and Mihara Yasuhiro. The Fall/Winter lineup mainly consists of a plethora of Clydes and First Rounds in a few different styles, our favorite being the hightop in marine blue (above).

The Fall collection is more subtle than we’d expect from Sergio, but expect high quality material and an increase in overall comfort.

Grenson x Odin New York Footwear Collaboration

Odin has teamed up with English label Grenson for a footwear line. The collaboration has given birth to two new styles including a younger, more modern version of a timeless black oxford. The other style is a leather chukka boot. Considering the reasonable pricing, we’re not sure how long these will last.

Autumn/Winter 2009: Kris Van Assche Footwear

Belgian designer Kris Van Assche has produced more than 30 new styles for his Autumn/Winter collection for 2009, with pieces ranging from military inspired boots to hi-top sneakers. It seems Assches’ new relationship with Italy’s Manifattura Ferrarese (known for their production and distribution work for many of LVMH’s men’s footwear lines) is paying dividends.
