If you’re looking for the ultimate convertible, this is it. The new Mercedes AMG S65 cabriolet packs all the best features of every Mercedes-Benz model out there, and more, into its sleek, shiny droptop frame. The Mercedes AMG S65 is based on the S-class convertible, but packs AMG’s gigantic 6.0-Liter twin-turbo V12 engine. It packs 630 HP and 738 ft-lbs of torque, letting you go from zero to 62mph in 4.1 seconds, and top out at 155mph.
This is the first time Mercedes has offered a 4-seat convertible with a monster of an engine, but thankfully the S65 still has all the creature comforts of the S-class. That includes the automatic 3-layer fabric top, the airscarf system, and the rigid bodyshell. It also sports 20-inch wheels, optional carbon-ceramic brakes, and a lightweight lithium-ion battery to shed a little weight up front.
The Mercedes AMG S65 can be ordered beginning April 4, 2016, and will reach Mercedes-Benz dealerships in May. For now, enjoy it in the gallery below.
