Folks, we’d like to turn you all to the first of the Rapha Performance Skincare range, which has been created to protect against the elements and repair the wear and tear of road riding. Now, imagine how effective the products will be for an average bloke like me.
The fragrance of Atlas Cedar, Lavender, Pine Needle, Rosemary, Juniper Berry, Lemon, Cypress, Cistus and Patchouli are pulled from Mont Ventoux and are used across the range. Currently, this range consists of a chamois cream, embrocation and soap, all of which we’ve actually tested and approve.
The chamois cream eliminates the soreness that can come with long hours in the saddle and helps to reduce irritation, soothe the skin, prevent chafing, keep the skin cool when needed all while protecting against fungal microbes that cause irritation and odours. Rapha Embrocation is highly effective for riding in cold conditions as it’s rich in arnica, essential oils, vitamin E and beeswax and is also made from three organic warming agents for added comfort. The soap is reach in natural oils and smells pretty darn good, too. We’re also hearing it’s great for cleaning Rapha leather gloves and mitts, something riders have been doing for years.
All-in-all, the lineup is well made and we’re expecting the addition of a shaving cream, lip balm and sunscreen to only fortify the current range. Shop Rapha Performance Skincare here.
