Freeman’s Sporting Club will be launching their collection of heavy-duty knitwear soon, which includes these home-grown cardigans. Woven and entirely made right here in Manhattan, these chunky shawl-collared cardigans exemplify the old-world craftsmanship for which FSC stands. Knitted from genuine Scottish Shetland, the wool cardigans feature side pockets, zipper closure and a construction that’s sure to pass the test of time.
While searching for a local manufacturer to link up with for these amazing pieces, FSC came across Stoll America, a once-German company which opened back in 1982 to promote the sale and service of Stoll Knitting Equipment in North America. In addition to selling knitting machines, they produce samples for large designer brands but do not do production runs for anyone, with the exception of Freemans Sporting Club. Their facility is also unique because they offer training classes in both pattern making and knitting and are considered the go-to knitwear resource in the US.
Look for these cardigans to hit Freeman’s Sporting Club in-store as well as online in the coming weeks for $358.
