Fashion retail chain COS has finally landed on Canadian shores, opening its first flagship right on Toronto’s Bloor Street, the home of many other global luxury brands. The new store is a three-story, 6,700-square foot structure that sports an understated, refined look both outside and in.
The facade is monochromatic and features charred wood in shou-sugi-ban, an ancient Japanese woodworking technique. Stepping inside, the interior is airy and light, taking after the sparse Scandinavian aesthetic that COS clothing is known for.
COS Toronto only recently opened on Sep 18, but plans for a second Canadian store are already on the table. Montreal is COS’s next stop, in a 4,200-square foot location in Saint Catherine West. Watch for its opening this fall.
