For F/W 2016, the CWST wanderer heads to the San Juan Islands, a secluded archipelago not too far from Seattle. Similar to Death Valley, which inspired the brand’s S/S ’16 collection, the San Juan Islands are just as isolated. No cell service, not a soul for miles, and a slow paced offshore counter culture the folks at CWST prefer. The end result is a line up that’s inspired by grey washed rain shadows, cordovan tide lines, sandstone outcroppings, and weathered Douglas-fir. It’s dark, with a good blend of fabrics in the mix. Shearling vests sit alongside long wool coats and ponchos. The color palette stays around dark blues and grays, while the designers have also infused a good amount of prints into their pieces as well. Check out all the looks below and expect CWST’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection to hit select retailers in early fall.
