Though New York Fashion Week Men’s kicked off Monday, the team at NY-based retailer Carson Street Clothiers have been busy with the opening of their new store location and debuting their own in-house brand, Deveaux. The Soho loft space’s natural sunlight and exposed brick made for a perfect backdrop for Deveaux’s runway show. Pieces in white, camel, and gray contrasted well with the setting, with each piece being offered up in clean silhouettes and a strong mix of fabrics ranging from rich suedes to leathers and wools. The details were immense and the fabrics themselves were second to none. Every look was wearable and the team’s knowledge and experience really shines through in the final product. The CFDA’s already knocking and you can expect Deveaux’s inaugural collection to get the recognition it deserves in a menswear arena that’s due for a new king.
