Nikon’s Z FC Mirrorless Camera Delivers 20.9-megapixel Photos, 4K Video and a Nostalgic Design

Nikon has unveiled the Z FC — a retro-inspired camera that’s a throwback to 35mm photography.

This camera may look like a relic from the past but is far from it. Similar to the FM2 SLR, the new Z FC has a similar vintage aesthetic, but beneath the surface, it features technology for exceptional images. The Z FC comes in a variety of grip colors like classic black, white, natural gray, sand beige, coral pink, and mint green to fit every aesthetic.

The Z FC boasts 20.9-megapixel APS-C sensor, Expeed 6 processor, and Nikon’s Z mount. It also has a 2.36 million-dot OLED viewfinder, vari-angle touchscreen, an SD card slot, a USB-C port for lightning-fast transfers, and a battery with enough power to capture 300 shots on a single charge.

Nikon’s Z FC will be available for sale in late July, but some may experience delays when ordering. In response to the high demand, Nikon warned:

“We have received a large number of reservations for the “Z fc” and “Z fc 28mm f / 2.8 Special Edition Kits” scheduled to be released in late July 2021. For some customers who are currently making reservations, it may take some time before the product is delivered. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to customers who are waiting for our products. We will do our utmost to deliver the product as soon as possible, and we appreciate your understanding.”

Prices start at $960 and top off at $1,200.
