New Balance unveils another interpretation of its 2002R signature style, this time with the help of emerging artist and designer Bryant Giles. This upcoming pair has complete olive green canvas uppers with Giles’ face features stitched in various hues all over. The lateral “N” emblems are added as modular Velcro patches and the panel overlays have a rugged vibe with slightly torn parts around the edges.
“What Now?” text is subtly stitched on the heels, inspired by Giles’ latest art piece at Miami Art Basel. Two unique mosaic drawings printed on the insoles, a gold mid-piece fastened to the N-ERGY midsoles, and semi-translucent gray outsoles complete the design.
The Bryant Giles x new Balance 2002R goes live later this month at the New Balance website and select retailers.
