2024 Audi SQ8 e-tron and SQ8 e-tron Sportback Get High-Performance Three-Motor Powertrain

German car manufacturer Audi just released more information on the 2024 Audi SQ8 e-tron and Sportback. The two SQ8 e-tron models get the same luxury treatment as the others in the current Audi line but with a more dynamic look and more power.

The new 2024 Audi SQ8 e-tron and SQ8 e-tron Sportback get S-specific detailing that includes alu-optic exterior mirrors, silver accents, roof rails, window surrounds, widened fender flares, larger bumper air inlets, six-piston calipers on 15.7-inch two-piece rotors in front, and a single-piston caliper on the 13.8-inch vented rotor in the rear. Optional features include the Digital Matrix-design LED headlights with the Prestige trim and the optional Black optic package that comes with 22” 5-arm-interference design titanium finish wheels, black exterior trim, roof, rails, and mirror housing.

Inside the SQ8 e-tron cabin, occupants get a quiet and spacious interior for both rows of seats. It features a largely digital experience, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital gauge cluster, two flush-mounted touchscreens in the center, Valcona leather with contrast diamond stitching upholstery, ‘carbon square’ trim, a panoramic sunroof, four-zone automatic climate control, heated front, and rear seats, a power-adjustable steering column, a power-operated rear liftgate, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, in-dash navigation, a wireless charging pad, a Bang & Olufsen stereo system, and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot.

The SQ8 e-tron sports a more powerful three-motor electric powertrain, making 496 hp and 718 lb-ft of torque. This allows the SQ8 e-tron to go from 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds. All SQ8 e-tron models come with a 106.0-kWh battery pack that can be charged up utilizing a 170 kW DC fast-charging connection. The EPA-estimated range can go up to 253 miles on the 20″ wheels and 218 miles on the optional 22-inch wheels. The Q8 e-tron Sportback also has an Ultra Package as an option which comes with 19-inch wheels, low-rolling resistance summer tires, and an estimated range of 300 miles.

The two 2024 SQ8 e-tron models should be available at U.S. dealerships in the fourth quarter of this year. Pricing starts at $90,995 for the 2024 SQ8 e-tron with the Premium Plus trim and $93,795 for the Premium Plus Sportback Trim, all after the $1,095 destination charge. No pricing information for the Prestige and Prestige Sportback trim was available at the time of writing.
