2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ | All-Electric Version of Iconic SUV Still Leads With Presence While Leaping With Tech

Cadillac just revealed the new 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, the automaker’s first-ever all-electric full-size SUV. The new range-topper showcases a restyled look packed with more power, range, and automotive tech.

On the outside, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ gets a more athletic-looking design with a swept back, faster-sloping roofline, aerodynamic detailing, flush side glass, a panoramic fixed glass roof, tall front daytime running light blades and vertically oriented high/low beams, dynamic exterior lighting, a wider profile and length compared to the Escalade ESV, a smooth underbody, grille shutters that close off airflow when it’s not needed, and standard 24-inch wheels. The SUV is available in Luxury and Sport trims, with distinct flavors that include brushed aluminum metallic finishes on areas such as the wheels and exterior moldings for the Luxury trim, and a darkened metal finish for the Sport trim. Paint scheme customization includes seven body colors, with a two-tone option via a black-painted roof.

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ’s interior boasts a lower, flatter interior floor thanks partly to the electric architecture. This allows for a roomier interior space that comes with a curved pillar-to-pillar 55-inch-total-diagonal LED display, power-folding third row, customizable ambient lighting with 126 color options, laser-etched pattern accents on the wood panels, ultra-premium finishes with four total interior theme options and a 12 cu-ft front storage eTRUNK compartment. An option available to buyers includes the Executive Second-Row Seating package that comes with stowable tray tables, 12.6-inch-diagonal personal screens, a rear command center screen, dual wireless phone charging15 pads, USB-C16 and HDMI ports, massaging seats, and 360-degree audio experience with available 40-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system. The Luxury 2 and Sport 2 systems include a 36-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system, while the Luxury 1 and Sport 1 trims come with a 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system.

Tech and safety features include Google Built-In integration, power open-and-close exterior door entry system, a motorized charge port door, Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, Adaptive Air Ride Suspension, Four-Wheel Steer, Cadillac Arrival Mode, Low Ride Mode, Blind Zone Steering Assist, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, HD Surround Vision, Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, and Super Cruise as a standard feature with three years of the OnStar Super Cruise plan.

Powering the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is its modular EV propulsion architecture called the Ultium Platform. The system includes a 24-module Ultium battery that delivers 200 kWh of available energy, power electronics, and a two-motor eAWD system. At Velocity Max mode, the system produces 750 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque and can go from 0-60 in less than 5 seconds. Additional features include an independent front and rear suspension, One-Pedal Driving, Variable Regen on Demand, a towing capability of up to 8,000 lbs., 800-volt DC fast charging, and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) bidirectional charging technology.

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ will begin regular production next summer at GM’s Factory ZERO Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Center in Michigan. Pricing starts at around $130,000, which includes the destination charge. For more information, please visit the official Cadillac website.
