Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph Ti49: A Classic Watch Remade In Titanium

Girard-Perregaux, the esteemed watchmaker, unveils its latest masterpiece: the Laureato Chronograph Ti49. With its lightweight titanium construction and exclusive features, this timepiece represents the pinnacle of luxury sports watches.

The roots of Girard-Perregaux trace back to Jean-François Bautte, whose early watchmaking endeavors in Geneva coincided with the discovery of titanium by William Gregor in England. Both men shared a relentless drive for innovation, laying the foundation for Girard-Perregaux’s pursuit of excellence.

The Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph Ti49 draws inspiration from the iconic Laureato collection, which has been a cornerstone of Girard-Perregaux’s heritage since its introduction in 1975. While the Ti49 retains the signature elements of the Laureato, such as its integrated bracelet and octagonal bezel, it introduces innovative materials and design elements to create a modern interpretation of this classic timepiece.

Crafted from Grade 5 titanium, the Laureato Chronograph Ti49 boasts a 42mm case diameter and 12mm thickness, striking a balance between robustness and wearability. It also features a grade 5 titanium polished and satin-finished barrel-shaped case, octagonal and round bezel, sapphire crystal with AR coating, Grey dial with Clous de Paris stamped pattern, gray PVD-treated GP logo, concentric pattern on the sub-dials, gray PVD-treated indexes with luminescent material, gray PVD-treated hands with luminescent material, tone-on-tone date window, titanium solid caseback, a screw-down crown, chronograph pushers, and 100 meters of water-resistance. It comes with an integrated grade 5 titanium bracelet with H-shaped links in a polished and satin finish and closed with a triple-fold clasp.

The Caliber GP03300 powers this timepiece, a self-winding mechanical marvel renowned for its precision and reliability. It has hours, minutes, small seconds, a chronograph, and date functions, 419 components, 63 jewels, and a 46-hour power reserve.

The Laureato Chronograph Ti49 is now available as part of Girard-Perregaux’s permanent collection and retails for $19,400. For more information, please visit the official Girard-Perregaux website.
