Cartier Celebrates The Tank à Guichets With Four New Models

Cartier is debuting four new Tank à Guichets models at Watches and Wonders this year. These models are part of its Privè collection, which reimagines iconic models by the brand.

The first Tank model was designed in 1917 and released in 1919, which featured parallel brancards and a crown at 3 o’clock. In 1928, the brand took a major step forward by introducing the Tank à Guichets, featuring a digital display with jumping hands and gliding minutes.

The Tank à Guichets legacy has been celebrated through the years with various limited-edition models, and now Cartier further honors the legacy of the Tank with its latest release. The new models are powered by the exclusive manual-winding 9755 MC movement, which maintains the design of the 1928 version. The hour aperture and winding crown is located at 12 o’clock while the minute is positioned at 6 o’clock.

The satin-finished case of the timepieces complements the polished horizontal brancards. They are available in platinum, yellow gold, and rose gold. An additional special platinum model is also available, which has angled apertures and is limited to just 200 pieces.
