Mercedes-Maybach has unveiled the 2026 Mercedes‑Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series, the most performance-focused vehicle in the brand’s history. The new open-top two-seater combines hallmark Mercedes-Maybach craftsmanship with the ultimate driving experience.
The vehicle launches with two distinct design concepts. ‘White Ambience’ features a two-tone exterior with Obsidian Black Metallic over MANUFAKTUR Moonlight White Magno, while ‘Red Ambience’ pairs Obsidian Black Metallic with the new MANUFAKTUR Garnet Red Metallic.
The interior is trimmed in sustainably tanned MANUFAKTUR Crystal White Nappa leather, which extends across the seats, door panels, center console, and space behind the seats. Silver chrome accents on the seat backrests and trim elements provide a striking contrast.
In addition to the two curated themes, customers can personalize their vehicle with over 50 MANUFAKTUR Exclusive paints inspired by precious stones, minerals, natural environments, archival hues, as well as color trends from fashion, design, and architecture.
The exterior features a Maybach-specific chrome radiator grille with an A-shape contour. Other distinctive details include the front fascia with horizontal air intakes and striking chrome trim, the windshield frame finished in gleaming chrome, rose gold accented headlights, side sill panels with an integrated chrome element, a hood with a standing Mercedes star and a longitudinal chrome element, and 21-inch Maybach forged wheels.
The rear includes Mercedes-Maybach-branded taillights, a unique diffuser panel, tailpipe trims, and double scoops behind the rear seat that enhance aerodynamics and styling. The acoustic soft top is finished in light black fabric with a subtle anthracite Maybach pattern.
An optional hood design features a Maybach pattern in Graphite Grey using PixelPaint, a new technology that enables a highly precise paint application without masking or overspray. This process reduces waste and emissions while achieving a deep, layered finish through multiple hand-sanded clear coats.
High acoustic comfort has also been prioritized in the Mercedes‑Maybach SL. It delivers a quiet, comfortable driving experience through extensive sound insulation, aluminum butyl surfaces, and sound absorption foams, among others. In addition, the exhaust system is designed with recyclable fiberglass fabric inlays to reduce cabin noise.
Power comes from a 577-hp 4.0‑liter biturbo engine paired with a 9G‑TRONIC automatic transmission and 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive. Rear-axle steering is standard. The vehicle also features advanced suspension with active, hydraulic roll stabilization, which replaces traditional anti-roll bars for enhanced ride quality and handling.
The Maybach SL comes with four drive programs: ‘Comfort,’ ‘Maybach,’ ‘Sport,’ and ‘Individual,’ offering a wide range of driving experiences.
To accompany the launch of the new Mercedes-Maybach SL Monogram Series, MAYBACH Icons of Luxury is releasing a collection to match the materials and colors of the vehicle. The collection includes a leather jacket, scarf, sneakers, bag, and dog carrier. For more information, visit the brand’s website.
