Singer introduces its latest offering, the Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer. This time, they’ve gotten help from Cosworth on the engineering front to bring forth an in-house restored and developed 420-horsepower naturally aspirated flat six.
Each project begins when a Porsche 911 (Type 964) owner sends their car to Singer for a personalized restoration. The car is carefully disassembled to reveal the steel monocoque (chassis), which is cleaned, evaluated, and prepared for transformation. At this phase, Singer utilizes a chassis strengthening system using composite and steel reinforcement to enhance rigidity, which is developed in consultation with Red Bull Advanced Technologies.
At the core of the 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer is a 4.0L naturally-aspirated flat-six engine developed with Cosworth. It features four-valve cylinder heads, variable valve timing, optimizing drivability at low speeds, power at high revs, and water-cooled cylinder heads combined with air-cooled cylinders. These features enable the engine to produce 420HP, increase the torque delivery across a wider range of engine speeds, and rev to over 8000 rpm. A newly developed titanium exhaust system completes the setup.
Carbon fiber bodywork reinterprets the classic form with improved aerodynamics, reduced weight, and added cooling. Wider front and rear bodywork, a deep front spoiler, and functional intakes support the performance of the engine and chassis. Owners can choose between a fixed wing or a speed-activated wing to manage airflow over the rear for greater stability. Retractable high-performance auxiliary driving lights can also be integrated into the front hood, maintaining a clean profile when not in use.
Suspension is derived from Singer’s turbocharged services, with new four-way adjustable dampers with electronic damping control and a nose lift system. Carbon ceramic brakes can be specified, which sit behind 18” centre-lock wheels with the latest Michelin Pilot Sport tyres for incredible stopping power.
Owners can also fully personalize the interior with bespoke paint, leather, and material finishes. Stitched and burnished leather seams can be requested for the first time. Additionally, lightweight sports or track seats are available as an option for the perfect driving position. The 911 instrument layout is reimagined with hand-built gauges bringing high-watchmaking standards into the cabin.
The Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer is limited to just 100 commissions. Pricing depends on the specification requested by the owner. For more details, visit the brand’s website.
