TUDOR’s New Black Bay 54 ‘Lagoon Blue’ Is Tailored For Sun, Sand, And Sea

TUDOR expands its Black Bay collection with the launch of the Black Bay 54 ‘Lagoon Blue.’ It’s a modern dive watch that captures the vibes of summertime with its matte blue sand-textured dial, mirror-polished bezel, and five-link bracelet.

The 37mm timepiece draws inspiration from the Oyster Prince Submariner reference 7922, featuring a small crown, no red triangle at 12 o’clock, and vintage-styled hands that are pinched at the base. Modern design elements include the subtle sand-textured dial and a satin-brushed 5-link steel bracelet equipped with a  ‘T-fit’ clasp.

Inside, the watch is powered by the Manufacture Caliber MT5400, which features a 70-hour power reserve. This movement includes an openwork rotor in tungsten monobloc, bridges and mainplate with alternate sand-blasted polished surfaces, a variable inertia balance wheel secured by a sturdy traversing bridge, and a non-magnetic silicon hairspring.

The Black Bay line continues to build on TUDOR’s legacy of functional dive watches dating back to the 1950s. While rooted in heritage, the line meets modern standards for performance, quality, and reliability.

The Black Bay 54 ‘Lagoon Blue’ is available now for $4,350 through authorized TUDOR retailers. For more details, visit the brand’s website.
