H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Centre Seconds Debuts New Purple Haze And Returning Matrix Green Editions

H. Moser & Cie., known for its minimalistic design aesthetic, recently introduced the new Streamliner Centre Seconds Purple Haze alongside the returning Matrix Green variant. Their distinctive fumé dials play with light, revealing a spectrum of colors that range from deep purples and blues in the Purple Haze to olive greens and red golds in the Matrix Green.

The Streamliner Centre Seconds made its debut in 2020 with its Matrix Green fumé dial. Due to its distinctive hue and sleek design, this model earned the nickname ‘Green Dragon’ among collectors. This re-release, coinciding with the 2024 Year of the Dragon, adds a layer of intrigue and symbolic significance to the Matrix Green’s return. Meanwhile, with its violet tones, the Purple Haze provides a fresh and contemporary twist to the collection.

The Streamliner Centre Seconds models are a testament to precision and craftsmanship. Both the Matrix Green and Purple Haze feature a 40mm cushion-shaped stainless steel case, a domed sapphire crystal over the dial, a display caseback, a screw-in crown, Matrix Green or Purple Haze fumé dials with a sunburst finish, Globolight inserts in the hour, minute and seconds hands, an H. Moser & Cie. logo in transparent lacquer, and 120 meters of water-resistance. The case design seamlessly transitions to the integrated brushed and polished steel bracelet with a folding clasp with three steel blades, showcasing meticulous attention to detail.

The Streamliner Centre Seconds watches are powered by the HMC 201 automatic caliber, visible through the display caseback. A recent update from the HMC 200, the movement operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. It features partially skeletonized anthracite-finished bridges, an openworked 18K gold rotor, a bidirectional pawl winding system, a Straumann hairspring, and a 3-day power reserve.

Both the H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Centre Seconds Matrix Green, reference 6201-1200, and Purple Haze, reference  6201-1201, retail for approximately $24,084. For more information and to reserve one for yourself, please visit the official H. Moser & Cie. website.
