Rolex unveils its first-ever high-technology ceramic dial on the Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II. This innovative ceramic material is scratch-resistant and corrosion-resistant, ensuring enhanced durability.
The striking green Cerachrom dial debuts on the timepiece, distinguished by a left-side winding crown and a date aperture at 9 o’clock. The dial is crafted using the same technique as natural stone dials by mounting the disc onto a brass plate. Its deep green tone matches the lower half of the 24-hour two-color green and black Cerachrom bezel insert, ensuring perfect color harmony in all lighting conditions.
The bidirectional rotatable bezel’s recessed numerals and graduations are coated with platinum via PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) for enhanced readability. The bezel can be easily manipulated thanks to its knurled edges, which offer an excellent grip.
The 40 mm Oyster case is crafted from 18ct white gold, waterproof to 100 meters (330 feet), with a screw-down case back, Triplock winding crown, and scratchproof sapphire crystal with Cyclops lens. The timepiece is powered by the caliber 3285 self-winding movement, which boasts a 70-hour power reserve, enhanced energy efficiency, and shock resistance.
The timepiece is mounted on an Oyster bracelet equipped with an Oysterlock safety clasp. It also includes the Easylink comfort extension link for easy adjustments and patented ceramic inserts inside the links, which enhance its flexibility.
Designed for travelers, the GMT-Master II is the perfect companion for those crossing time zones. For more information, visit the brand’s website.
