Alden started out back in 1884 and we’ve listened to some interviews with the New England shoemaker’s leadership and are really impressed with their confidence and approach. As of late, they’ve been cranking out a host of shoes made exclusively for a specific retailer and this time we’re checking out what they’ve cooked up with Context Clothing. The Roy Boot is made on Trubalance last and is cut and sewn of Horween’s Chromexcel leather. The deep dark brown color features subtle hints of burgundy and tan, which will become more apparent as you break these beauties in. The plantation sole is known to be pretty darn comfortable and doesn’t look too shabby either.

All-in-all, this is one solid offering. The construction is everything you’d expect from Alden and they have all the proper relationships built to get top-notch materials in place in order to keep growing and bringing out some great shoes.
