This year’s BASELWORLD is underway in Switzerland and there’s already been plenty of exciting unveils. Among them is the introduction of the Tudor Heritage Black Bay fitted with a silver-accented dial and midnight blue bezel and crown tube. Hodinkee tells us that inspiration comes from the blue Tudor Submariner dive watches best known for being supplied to the French Marine Nationale in the 1970s. Like the original Tudor Heritage Black Bay, this new rendition comes in a 41mm polished steel case, a vintage Tudor logo at 12 o’clock, snowflake hands, and an updated take on the “big crown”.
The new Heritage Black Bay will be available on your choice of a midnight blue distressed leather strap or a steel bracelet. Both options also come with a woven blue/black fabric strap. It’s priced at $3,425 on the bracelet and $3,100 on the leather strap, with availability in the US kicking off in June.
