Designers Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki pay homage to the Maison Kitsuné’s Japanese heritage with the Fall/Winter 2016 collection. Inspiration comes from Hayao Miyazaki’s animated film The Wind Rises, giving us a “Love Rises” collection that’s filled with effortless Japanese silhouettes. The fabric choices this time around include cottons and flannels as you’d expect as well as broadcloth and velvet. And there’s a good level of playfulness seen throughout the collection, so the bright colors, patchwork, and camouflage all make for a cohesive lineup. Check out the lookbook below and expect Maison Kitsuné’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection to hit retailers early fall.
