Paul Smith and his reggae inspired collection took the show’s audience on a trip to the Caribbean, with vibrant shades of red, yellow and green dominating the fashion. The inspiration came from London clubs that the designer regularly visited in the 60s and 70s and the happiness and optimism exuded from the places. Smith aimed for an upbeat and fun vibe with this collection and he truly delivered. With an appropriate Bob Marley medley playing in the background, models walked out in psychedelic suits and plaid jackets made casual with polo shirts. The runway was full of a stream of tropically hued bomber jackets and patched denim jeans, championing peace through prints and embellishments. Some walked down the runway donning jumpsuits, possibly signaling a new trend in menswear. Check out Smith’s collection in the gallery above.
