Takeshi Osumi and his partner, THE CONTEMPORARY FIX’s Yuichi Yoshii, have put their own unique spin on the iconic Starter’s signature Award varsity jacket, adding an athletic flair to MR. GENTLEMAN’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection. The classic sportswear piece’s traditional aesthetic is still in tact, with a nylon construction and striped ribbing at the collar, hem and cuffs. To match the color palette of the duo’s upcoming seasonal line, the varsity jacket is revamped with stylish navy and olive colorways featuring brown accents for a cohesive collection. This Starter Black Label release will be available this Saturday, August 20th, from select stockists for a a price of ¥8,000 JPY (approximately $80 USD).
