COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Terminator High Capsule Collection Comes in Threes
Nike and COMME des GARÇONS, the Paris-based Japanese fashion label, just revealed their Terminator High collab capsule collection in a pachyderm-themed campaign by creative directors Ronnie Cooke Newhouse and Karl Bolander of House + Holme.
First released in 1985, the Terminator High, with its gray and navy colorway, was a special edition silhouette made specifically for the Georgetown Hoyas basketball program. The new three-shoe collection, first teased in Paris Fashion Week last summer, marks Rei Kawakubo’s first take on the Terminator High.
The pair comes in a white base with ‘black,’ ‘navy,’ and ‘red’ accents and features premium leather construction, neat perforations on the toe area, and accent-colored overlays, Swooshes, and heel detailing. Capping off the design is the ‘CDG’ branding on the left heel and ‘Nike’ on the right, printed in a bold, blocky font.
The COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Terminator High Capsule Collection is expected to launch globally on April 1st. It will be available from Nike SNKRS, all COMME des GARÇONS stores and wholesale retailers, and Dover Street Market stores and website for $235 a pair.
