Zenith Defy Skyline Skeleton Boutique Edition Goes Retro-Modern in Silver and Gold
Zenith’s new Defy Skyline Skeleton Boutique Edition, revealed by Zenith at this year’s LVMH Watch Week, is the Swiss luxury watchmaker’s third entry in its Defy Skyline series. And it’s offering something the series hasn’t done before.
The new Defy Skyline Skeleton takes its inspiration from the interplay of light on modern cityscapes. It comes in a 41 mm steel octagonal case with a 12-sided, faceted bezel inspired by the 1960s Defy design. It has a silvery-grey open dial, a slightly darker chapter ring, 1/10th of a second counter at 6 o’clock, Super-LumiNova filled gold-plated baton hour markers, matching hour and minute hands, and water resistance of up to 100 meters. The Zenith Defy Skyline Skeleton Boutique Edition comes with a stainless steel quick-change bracelet and an additional rubber strap with a starry sky pattern.
The new Defy Skyline Skeleton is powered by the Maison’s high-frequency automatic El Primero caliber with a 1/10th of a second counter. It features a highly efficient bi-directional automatic winding mechanism, a stop-second feature for accurate time setting, and a power reserve of 55 hours.
Retailing for $11,000 USD, the Defy Skyline Skeleton Boutique Edition retails for $11,000 and is available at Zenith’s online store and boutiques worldwide.
