Dries Van Noten, the Belgian fashion brand known for luxurious fabrics, state-of-the-art prints, and bold colors, reveals its Spring/Summer 2024 collection during Paris Fashion Week. A long and vaulted room in a condemned building served as a stark stage for the runway show.
The Dries Van Noten SS24 collection studies elegance and self-expression on a subtle level, with relaxed and oversized forms and comfort apparent in the streetwear/loungewear pieces. Detailing was in the spotlight for the collection with frayed and raw edging, perforations, deliberate patina and wear, unusual pairings, and muted prints. The season’s colors were rich with bronze, dark earth, and jewel tones.
Highlight pieces in the collection include a herringbone wool raglan shoulder coat with a tight camel and black chevron pattern, a bronze shirt, coat, and gold sequin shorts ensemble, a mustard bomber jacket over aubergine shorts, sheer mousseline tops, and a knit velvet sweater with plucked perforations across the chest.
