Glashütte Original Sixties Chronograph Annual Edition 2023 Gets Stone Gray Treatment

Glashütte just announced its Original Sixties Chronograph Annual Edition 2023. The annually revisited model takes its inspiration from the 1960s Spezimatic. This year, it comes in a toned-down stone-gray textured dial with red-golden accents crafted from the watchmaker’s own dial manufacture in Pforzheim.

The Glashütte Original Sixties Chronograph Annual Edition 2023 features a rippled dial texture coated with layers of gray lacquer. The degradé effect is attained by hand-spraying darker paint, achieving a color effect that’s lighter in the center and gets richer as it goes out to the perimeter.

Like the previous models before it, the 42mm Original Sixties Chronograph Annual Edition 2023 features vintage piston-style pushers, milled indices, a retro font similar to the Spezimatic for the white Arabic numerals at 12 and 6, running seconds at 3 o’clock and 30-minute elapsed times at 9 o’clock with snailed interiors, central chronograph seconds hand and minutes hand with a slight bend at the tip, baton hour and minute hands with luminescent inlays, Super-LumiNova dots on the minute’s track, a curved sapphire crystal caseback, and water resistance up to 30m. It comes with a dark blue textile strap with a steel pin buckle.

The 2023 model runs on the GO’s 39-34 automatic modular chronograph movement. It features the classic three-quarter plate with Glashütte stripes, a swan-neck fine adjustment, a skeletonized rotor with a double-G logo, 21k gold oscillating mass, beveled edges, and polished steel parts. It has a 40-hour power reserve.

The Glashütte Original Sixties Chronograph Annual Edition 2023 is available from Glashütte Original boutiques and at selected retailers for $8,500. For more information, please visit the official Glashütte website.
